How did you end up with O’Connor Company?

I was a member of the Users’ Group for my former employer’s ERP system, as was Greg Borr, now President of O’Connor. He told me about an opportunity at O’Connor that I could not pass up. Although I had been with the same great company for 16 years, I knew that this would be a company where I could use my skills to impact change.

How long have you been working with O’Connor?

Since 2017

How do you think your colleagues would describe you?

I would hope my colleagues would describe me as a team player and a hard worker. I like to be the person they bounce ideas off of and they trust that I will give them honest feedback, as well as help them come up with a plan of attack. I am excited to get to come to work every day and I hope that energizes others.

How would you describe company culture at O’Connor?

There is a collaborative effort to not only reach, but exceed the goals we worked together to create. As a team, we know the only way to succeed is by working together to continuously improve processes to create a better experience for our dealers.

What sets O’Connor Company apart from its competitors?

The employees that work at O’Connor are experts in the market who work hard to provide solutions to our customers. The solutions can come via the quality products available at local warehouses, technical expertise from our highly trained employees, and creating partnerships to help our dealer grow.

Passionate, fun, a little loud, very confident in what I would like the marketing department to look like and how we are going to make our customers more successful.

Very family oriented. With a young family and a spouse with a demanding career, it awesome to work for a family owned company that values its employees as people.

I spent 20 years as a dealer, then was recruited to a Territory Manager position.

How long have you been working with O’Connor?

17 years.  Eleven as a Territory Manager, six as branch manager, regional director.

Passionate, loyal, competitive

Everyone in the O’Connor Company is focused on our customer.  Our goal is to be the preferred place to work and to do business.

How did you end up with O’Connor Company?

I’ve been in the HVAC business for over 40 years. I started work with O’Connor Company in 1990 in the Omaha Branch as Customer Service/ Warehouse. Was promoted shortly after to Outside Parts Sales. Within a few years of that, I was promoted to Trane Territory Manager. In 2009 I was promoted to Branch Manager of the Omaha/Urbandale Branch. In 2018 I became the Director of Sales and Operations for the Northern Region.

How long have you been working with O’Connor?

28 years.

How do you think your colleagues would describe you?

Competitive, Understanding, Passionate

How would you describe the company culture at O’Connor?

Family. The O’Connor family is constantly growing and evolving. We have very low employee turnover which benefits our relationships with our customers. Each person here at O’Connor has a mutual respect for one another and their individuality. We have a fun, hardworking group that will hustle to come up with solutions before there is a problem. I like to say we have the employees that every other company wants.

O’Connor brings real value, not just boxes, to our dealers. Our team strives to provide top-notch services by under promising and over delivering. O’Connor partners with our dealers and we form relationships. We are committed to meeting our dealers needs through our TM relationships, product specialists, training, inventory, and dealer and consumer programs. O’Connor’s team is always looking to exceed our customer’s expectations.

How did you end up with O’Connor Company?

I’ve been involved in business development and operations management related to construction and energy efficiency for more than 20 years. Was traveling two weeks every month and wanted an opportunity to be at home most evenings with my family. I had collaborated previously with a couple local HVAC contractors who spoke highly of O’Connor Company so I reached out about a branch manager position they had posted on Linked In. The rest is history, so to speak.

How long have you been working with O’Connor?

I joined O’Connor in May 2016

How do you think your colleagues would describe you?

Genuinely interested in helping our employees and our customers meet their goals. Listens to concerns, addresses issues consistently and fairly and tries to identify win-win outcomes.

How would you describe the company culture at O’Connor?

We strive to foster a family-like atmosphere internally and with our customers. We genuinely like working together and have some fun while we get the work completed. O’Connor benefits from low employee turnover. We offer training for our staff and opportunities for advancement.

We strive to partner with our customers, offering services, technical expertise and value beyond that of our competitors.
